My name is Joe Crowley, and my wife Liz and I started Crowley Acres because of our immense love for our own dogs. We have a 97 acre farm located at 1540 Crowley Line, where we have a 2 acre field dedicated for the dog camp. There are separate areas for smaller breeds and/or elderly dogs to ensure that the individual needs of all the dogs are being met with care and compassion. We are just completing a renovation to our 1200 square foot open concept indoor play/rest area. 
     We own 3 dogs of our own and currently breed CKC Red Golden Retrievers. I have completed education programs in dog behaviour and dog training, as well as a course called “Fear Free Dog Daycare”. A little more about my background- I was a Paramedic for 16 years, and proudly served the Peterborough area, however, as rewarding as this career was, I was missing a lot of time with my family and some days were admittedly tough. On those days I found comfort and joy from my family and my dogs! There’s nothing like opening the door to two crazy excited kids, and equally even more excited dogs! This was my happy place! So I decided to make a change and have more joyful days and less hard ones. Liz and I kept getting this nudge to open a dog business and the idea of a dog daycare kept coming up so we listened! 
    I find a tremendous amount of joy being in the field with my dogs, and I plan to give the same love and care to your fur baby when they are here on the farm! I also plan to post some pictures and updates throughout the day on our Facebook Page to keep pup parents in the loop.
